Tickets were priced as low as possible while ensuring the event did not make a loss. However, following an overwhelming response, a large surplus was made. At the end of the teachings, it was announced to His Holiness on stage that donations would be going to the Burmese cyclone appeal, the China earthquake appeal and to Tibet House Trust for children's projects.
